Loneliness tucks me to sleep,
A sleep so deep that I forget to weep.
Tears are always near the brims,
every safe place starts to shrink.
I don’t skip meals, I eat, I drink,
with a blurry blink.
I end up forgetting I have a few incomplete dreams.
Everyone, everything seems cruel as rock,
All happy persons’ memories do mock.
Everyone thinks I’m so kind,
They don’t know,
how every little thing haunts my mind.
I don’t have any power,
While others are failing in my eyes, lower.
Night after night,
after hugging the pillow tight,
I believed I could fight,
Only to see myself crumbling in my own sight.
I wish to become my own best,
Before they lay me down to my forever rest.
